Expressions to show disapproval

Regarding the following sentence:

Some people say that Germans are lacking in a sense of humor.

If the writer is firmly against the idea that Germans lack a sense of humor, what sentence should follow this one? I assume that the writer has lived in Germany for years and knows a lot about German people.

Below are sentences I made myself. Please comment on each of them, and if you don't mind, give me some other examples.

(a) I totally disagree.
(b) I think it is far from the case.
(c) I think it is far from the truth.
(d) I think it is far from the true.
(e) I think it is anything but the truth.
(f) I don't think it can be true.
(g) I couldn't possibly believe it is true.

Thank you very much indeed, Mister Micawber.
I'm sorry for my mistake. I meant to say,"I think it is far from true." for (d).
