Expressions of doing something wrong and improperly

Hi,

In poeple's daily life and study, there are many situations where we make some small mistakes or do things improperly, so I would like to ask how to express the following meaning based on some particular core words, as follows:(Please proofread what I wrote and advise the correct expression for the asterisked parts). Thank you!

1. key words: --inside out; --upside down; *The front and the back are the wrong way round*

e.g.: You are wearing the clothes inside out; You are wearing the clothes ** the above red part**.

2. key words: --upside down; --askew; **Write something to the wrong line **

e.g.:This sentence is printed upside down.

This sentence is prinetd askew.

He writes *the above red part* (like, writing names or address on other items.)

3. What are the difference between "You’re holding the camera the wrong way up!" and "... the wrong way round". Can I also say, you are holding the manuscript upside down/the first asterisked part/askew etc.

Thanks again.

Top answer

1. : You are wearing the clothes inside out; You are wearing the clothes with the part that should be touching your body on the outside. If you had a shirt or jacket on with the opening and buttons on your back this would be " back to front" and not " inside out" 2.
