expression question

Which is correct as a stand alone expression?

Check out this; or check this out.

I know we can say "check it out", but not "check out it".

So I am not sure about the 'this version' but I think both are possible for some reason! Am I right?

Not really, though you may hear it casually. Pronoun objects must appear only within separable phrasal verbs, while noun objects have the option of appearing either within or after them:
