Expression: Even my angels were unaware...

Hi

There is an expression in my language whose literal translation in English would be something like this:

Even my angels were unaware/didn't know about it.

We use it when we show complete ignorance about something.

How could I go to the airport and collect her? My angels didn't know that she was coming.

Any suitable substitute in English?
