Expression 'bound with'

Hi!

I am finishing off my assaignment but had a problem with this sentence:

"The Code of Canon law also speaks of the obligations that the faithful are bound with in relationship to poverty and the oppressed."

Does the expression my sense in this context? If not, what other expression do you suggest?

Thanks
