What is the grammatical function of "expressing" here? I understand the meaning of it just needs explanation about its grammatical form and function.
Is it present participle functioning adjectivially modifying "people or a non finite clause acting adverbially-which of these questions does it answer-how, when, where, why or to what extent?
I would appreciate an elaborate answer.
Thank you in advance.
