Exposition

Hi,

Can I say that

“Now that all universities are on lockdown, students lack exposition, which makes it difficult for them to understand the stuff that hasn’t been covered by the teachers yet.”?

I’m not sure if ‘expositon’ works in this scenario. What I’m trying to say is that students are short of background information and that as a result of that they can struggle to grasp the new topics, which they have to read up on themselves.”

Thank you
