Dear maam.
I would like to convey may sincere & deepest apology for my failure to attend the seminar. My absence was due to urgent family problem. Let me explain to you what happened .Those who were not scheduled nor off duty to attend the seminar was asked to choose between Thursday and Friday. I chose Friday, but due to such uncertain event, all my plans went for a toss.
I know the importance of that seminar so I will try my best to learn by researching and asking those were able to attend.
