Explanation for "reincarnation"

According to the difficulty and rareness of the word,
I often find it hard to explain this word to the people who have never heard of it but only to find out that I'm confusing them rather than clarifying the definition.
This is my explanation :"Reincarnation is the basic concept of the eternity of soul; each soul follows the cycle of death and rebirth."
I know that a lot of dictionaries offer exactly the most correct definition for this term,
but I just want to make sure if there's anything wrong with my sentence-making ability.
Thanks for your help at the very advance.

Reincarnation is a basic concept of the eternity of soul : each soul follows the cycle of death and rebirth. There is nothing grammatically wrong with your sentence, although it is obviously not the only concept but only one concept of many. The word 'eternity', though it may be theologically correct, misleads the reader initially, since it is the cycle that is unique to reincarnation, not its eternality.

  • I suggest reorganizing the sentence to accentuate the cycle.

Then should I say "Reincarnation is a concept about the infinite cycle of death and rebirth, through which the soul actually never dies but rather enters the next incarnation."-- Yes, that sounds better to me.

I wonder if I fix the sentence as "the soul never dies but rather transforms into another being" will be correct,
because the soul is invisible, which so

That sounds OK to me, yes. No comma after 'rebirth', I think.
