It is indubitable that human beings are inflicting acute damage on our environment by means of several unpremeditated or deliberate actions. This essay will discuss some of these actions and the measures implemented by governments and individuals to tackle this issues.
There is a myriad of human activities which puts environment under considerable pressure. First, humans are the primary culprit of pollution environment. In industrialized countries, for example, there are increase in the amount gas emissions from power plants and the exhaust fumes from vehicles, which causes the atmosphere to be severely contaminated. Another issue our milieu is facing due to human activities is the global warming. To illustrate, burning more fossil fuels and cutting down rainforests illegally to gain their own profits are one of the two actions contributing to accumulate a large amount of carbon dioxin in the air. Thus, this leads to a gradual rise in the global temperature.
Governments should take immediate measures to minimize the adverse impacts on the environment. First, it is advisable for governments to offer material incentives such as: cut taxes or increase the level of subsidy if factories utilize renewable resources. Moreover, it is an improved quality of public transport that will spur citizens to restrict travel by their private vehicles, therefore diminishing emissions. Another efficacious solution is to enforce stringent laws relating to log forests to educate and admonish people of the implicit dire consequences. To individuals, they should choose to take public transport instead of driving, purchase products with less packaging, and recycle as much as possible. Via recycling and reusing, we can reduce the quantities of waste discharged into the environment.
To sum up, each person needs to raise awareness of environmental issues and curb devastating actions on living habitats to save the planet before all things are uncontrollable.
