Experience count or non-count

Hi teachers,

Is "experience" countable or non-countable?

Can you tell me about your work experience/s?

Thanks!

It can be either, depending on the context. I have a lot of experience in the field of computer programming. (non-count) I had a bad experience staying at this hotel.

H, teacher,

Thank you!

So, can I say " Can you tell me about your work experiences?" (The applicant has three job experiences)

No, you can't. When you say "work experience", you mean "the knowledge or skill gained from your previous work/jobs". So it doesn't really matter whether you've had 3 jobs or just one; "work experience" refers to the knowledge gai

I see, so I can't say "I had three work experiences." What is grammatical for that sentence?
Thanks!
