EXPENSIVE or COST

Is it correct to say

- That's how expensive it is.

- It's more expensive than that.

Something might be expensive for one person an not for someone else, so I wanted to know if you could use expensive like that? Cheap would work in the same way? That's how expensive/cheap it is. - what's cheap and expensvie, we don't know right?

Would you say this instead?

- That's how much it costs.

- It cost more than that.

If you say

How expensive is that?

Shouldn't it be How much does that cost because you can't measure how expensive something is.

How expensive is it?

It's 300 dollars expensive. (That doesn't work, and it might not even be expensive depending on the person asking.

I want to know if you would use
