EXPECTING

Is EXPECTING THE RIGHT WORD?

- Are you expecting to call me anytime soon.

Can you please help me with this sentece?

- How can you expect people to be there for you when you're not even there for you children when they most need you. You can't need her bacause when you do she's never there.
