expect to do/have done something before...

Hi everyone,

It's my first time here, so excuse me if I do something wrong.

I'm doing an English listening exercise and the audio says:

"...Although I'm only 15 I've given more than 50 performances. By the time I'm 18 I will have performed in 75 concerts..."

Now I have to say if the following sentence is TRUE or FALSE:

"Tanya expects to give 75 concerts before she is 18."

The solution says "TRUE", but I'd like to check it with you.

I'd say that if you are 15 and say that you expect to give 75 concerts before you are 18. These 75 concerts are ment to be performed between the moment you're speaking and the moment you turn 18, which is not the case (she has already performed 50).

Maybe because my mind tend to look for structures similar to Spanish, I would say something like "Tanya expects to have given 75..." to be true, but not if the sentence is in the present simple.

I don't know if I'm making myself clear and probably I'm completely off track, but just to make sure...

Thank you.
