Exist/exist/existed

Salaam and Hi.

What is the correct choice for this sentence?

"Honestly, I did not even know that this school exist/existed/exists before."
Which means, I had never heard of that school before but now I know it very well..

P/s: I am always not sure about the tenses of the second verb in a particular sentence. For instance, "Talking to him made(first verb) me realize/realizes/realized(second verb) that......"

Hope you could help me. Thanks in advance!

Why the second one is not realizes? Since "me" is a singular.

I realize
You realize
He/she realizes
We realize
You realize
They realize

But it's always "make someone realize" .

It's okay, Nugso. The more, the merrier! (Wait, is this even suitable for this situation? Haha, never mind!)

But, Nugso, I do not understand the two other conditions you gave above.

Let me be..... ( NOT am) - What do you mean by "NOT am.."? Could not think of any examples.

I want you to be.... ( not are) - Same problem. "Are"?

I should have been clearer, sorry!

Let me be your angel.( correct)

Let me am your angel.( incorrect)

I want you to be my angel. ( correct)

I want you to are my angel. ( incorrect)

This is what I tried to explain. Use the base form in such situations.

The verb "make" in this use is followed by a person and a verb in the infinitive without to. "Too much chocolate makes me feel awful."
"This school existed before I came here." Both verbs refer to the past.
