Exist

I didn't even know that exists. Or

I didn't even know that existed.

Which is correct? What's the difference between the two if they're both useable? Thank you.

The second sentence is more common because the person knows "now" that the thing exists, so the "not knowing" becomes a past event.

Use this. After the past of know or think, we almost always use a subordinate clause in the past. It's almost impossible to go wrong if you remember this.
