I don't know if it's a working model. I take c 1939 as "cerca 1939," which could be the approximate date it first operated, or last operated. Chairs are hung from a moving cable, singly or in tandem, and carry skiers up the mountain with their skis dangling on their feet, actually on a foot rest.
