Exercise & Stretching

Okay, so I do track-and-field and come home with tight muscles (Abs, biceps, glutes, quads, etc) and sometimes small back and chest aches. What stretches can I do to relieve some of this pain?

Top answer

I've always been under the impression that one does the stretching before the exercising. Then repeat the same exercise after.

You should train the very next day to help get the lactic acid out of the muscles. Massage also helps relieve the pain.
You can get very bad muscle stuffing if you don't warm up prior to exercising. I suggest that you warm up and continue training, even if you have pain in the muscles.
