What is the difference between sport and exercise?Can I say :" Why is exercise important?   =  Why is sport important?

Exercise is not necessarily sport. Walking on a treadmill or doing pushups is not necessarily a sport.
Sports are usually competitive. Of course when you're in training for competition, you may practice many exercises other than the sport itself.
Things like skiing, bicycling, and swimming could be considered solitary sports, in which you may participate alone (by yourself) for enjoyment or exercise. But these events/activities can also be organized as competitive team sports.
Each year more and more different "sports" seem to be recognized as Olympic events. I believe weight lifting is an Olympic event, and therefore a sport.

If you're asking if these two questions are equivalent, I'd say "no." I read them as two quite different questions.

As an aside, "sport" and "sports" are very messy terms when it comes to countable/uncountable and singular/plural.
We say, "Tennis is a sport."
"Baseball and football are sports."
"Baseball and football are sport."
"Sport is good for you/ is important."
"Sports is good for you/ is important."
"Sports are good for you/ are important."
