First part: read and watch the video.before read I will give you a question. after you listen and watch the video, please answer the question.Whose handbag is it?
Excuse me ! Yes? Is this your handbag? Pardon? Is this your handbag? Yes it is. Thank you very much. So now can you answer this question? Whose handbag is it? The answer is the woman's.
Second part: How to convert a simple present tense into a question?
For example: This is your handbag. It's a simple present tense. If we convert it into a question. then we need to put the verb "is" in (at) the beginning of the sentence in front of the subject / in front of the subject. after that the period should be changed into a question mark at the end. at this point, we can say it in the rising tone or falling tone both are ok. But in daily communications, it is not necessary to put a verb in the beginning of the sentence / in front of subject, The question mark can be inserted at the end of the sentence. For example. The sentence “This is your book? “or“ This is your coat? ”At this point, you have to say them in the rising tone..

Is this your coat? or This is your coat? Answers : Yes, it is Tim's . or No, it is not my coat. Mine is red.
Both are in the rising tone because Yes and no questions are rising tone.

Except Yes-no questions , They all are falling tone. For example: Where is your coat? How did you tear your coat? When did you buy your coat?

in (at) the beginning of the sentence in front of the subject =in front of the subject.

in the beginning of the sentence = in front of subject
