Exclamation Mark with Etc.

If you end a sentence with 'etc.' in BrE, can we drop the full stop and use just the exclamation point?

Instead of this: They were all disorderly, obnoxious, etc.!

This: They were all disorderly, obnoxious, etc!

I see no good reason to end that sentence with an exclamation mark.

If you use a dot after 'etc' normally, then you'd likely need one before the '!' just as you'd do if you'd written "7 a.m.!" but I might be mistaken.

I suspect I never use a dot after etc, but the formal olden way is I would think to use one.
