Exclamation followed by a period?

Hello. I have a book, whose title ends with an exclamation mark. For instance, 'Não!' is the title.

I want to include it in my list of references together with an English translation.

Example: Silva, Fulano. Não! [No!] Salvador: Yes Press, 2000.

My question: After the translation inside brackets, do I have to use a period or not?

a) Silva, Fulano. Não! [No!]. Salvador: Yes Press, 2000.

b) Silva, Fulano. Não! [No!] Salvador: Yes Press, 2000.

Thank you!!!

Titles do not usually have sentence end punctuation, but in the APA Style guide, the period is put as a delimiter at the end of a book title in a reference. I would guess that ( a) follows the format best by clearly denoting the break between title and place of publication, but you might check with the publication's style guide. If it is going into a publication, the editor will make the change.
