However. mentioning the *** of the respondent is politically incorrect in English.

So, I rewrite the sentence as written. Is it acceptable?

In Chiayi, an elementary school teacher wrote an op-ed letter to the United Daily News, exclaiming:We always give the child the best, but do not care that he has no concept of compassionate.

I don't know whether the word 'exclaiming' here is acceptable. The teacher wanted to correct the deviant attitude. Should it be replaced by the word 'criticizing'?

Then this would be clearer:

In Chiayi, an elementary school teacher wrote an op-ed letter to the United Daily News, complaining, "We always give the child the best, but we do not seem to care if he has no concept of compassion."
