Hi Stevenukd No, that sounds awkward, and a more natural wording would depend on whether the conversation is between two young children or two adults, and it would also depend on what exactly you mean by "play". Here is a possible conversation between two adults: C: Do you spend time with anyone in your neighborhood? D: Yeah.

Hi Stevenukd

I would suggest this:

C: Do you socialize with anyone in your neighborhood?
D: No. My neighbors are all very gossipy and devious, and they do not deserve my company.

The word "associate" is theoretically possible, but I think "socialize" would be much more natural your sentence.
