exchange

Hello,

I have a small question. Can the word "exchange" be used in the "meaning "exchange of ideas" or must it always be written in full?

Thank you.

I think you would normally spell it out since there are all kinds of exchanges. But, yes, you could just use the short form "exchange" if it is clear from the situation that you are talking about ideas being exchanged. We talked for hours.

  • It was a very fruitful exchange.
