The first. Match doing with the -ing form; match other forms of do with the base form.

She does nothing except eat chocolates.
She is doing nothing but eating chocolates.
He will do nothing more than play video games.
He was doing nothing except playing video games.

Can "except' be followed by "for"?

All of my classmates are eating except for me.

Is this correct?

I think ' for ' in not necessary.

That's right. for is not necessary, but it's OK.
