Could you tell me if this sentence sounds natural, especially the second part of it:

The number of vacancies in IT-industry keeps growing in 2011 and exceeds the rates before the crisis virtually twice as much.

The phrase “more than double“ sounds to me like “a times more than” where a>2.

If something is “1.9 times more than”, can I say “almost double”?
