"Examples from the Corpus?"

Dear teachers,


When I look up something in the dictionary,

there says "Examples from the Corpus." (seen in the image below:)



Could you please let me know what the "Corpus" mean?

A "corpus" is a large collection of writings, assembled e.g. for the purpose of studying language.
