Examination

Examination is part of many students’ life. However, there have been so many voices saying that exam is useless and it cannot encourage students to learn. I strongly disagree this. When an exam is coming, students usually spend more time and much more focus on their study. Then they start to set up study groups and help each other study better. And if they get a good result, it will bring them happiness, a little satisfaction and motivate them to work harder next time in order to get this feeling again. In case they get a bad result, they won’t actually feeling sad cause at least in their process of study, they may gain knowledge and experience. Some people think that exams make the students under great pressure. But I would say that exam is just like an alarm clock, for both lazy and hard-working students. It reminds them to work much harder than usual, giving them a chance to show their ability. This alarm effect encourages students to become more diligent and prepare their knowledge for the exam. Generally, exam makes student study automatically and show not only their strength but alo their weakness. It also gives them a sense of satisfaction and positive pressure. Thus, I totally believe that examinations encourage students to study harder.
