exam mark mistaken

Hello i had the following question in my exam and i think i was mismarked for it , can anyone help because my teacher says it wrong and my father says it isnt so here you go

d) Circle the most appropriate forms

1) According to the schedule, the conference (starts,will start) at 10 am.

2) Which movie (are they showing,will they show)?

ps: the underlined word means my answer which was wrong , so please see if that is right or wrong with a brief note on why.

thank you , and yes i did post this twice one here and another one there but the problem is that some people say it right other say it wrong anyways thank you for your time
