Exactness and exactitude

Hi

I was looking for the meaning/use of exacting (which I talked about in my previous post) when I stumbled upon this. Would you say that these two words (or nouns of exact) are fairly common?

Hmm. Compared with what?

According to Mrs Google (Books) they are more common than 'pulchritude' and less common than 'pernicious'.

Unfortunately, I don't know with any exactitude what that means, but I don't think I'd put them in the category "fairly common".
