Can anyone here please tell me what "ex-growth" means? Could not find the definition even in online dictionaries. With thanks. If need context, I copied the paragraph as follows...

Now they are confronted with ever more generic drug rivals, growing litigation from governments and patients, and feeble product pipelines. The prospect looms of minimal revenue growth, falling research and developmemnt returns, declining margins - and maturity. So yet another industry in the West goes ex-growth.

You should be able to find "ex-" defined as something like "formerly." This is just an ad hoc use of it to mean something that was formerly a growth industry.
