I tried to write a motivational letter to apply to European Volunteer Service(EVS) but I really need someone who kindly help me. Would you please read if it works, and maybe give me some advice on how to improve it? Thank you in advance for your support.
Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to apply for the position as a volunteer in the, Hacettepe University Europan Union Office. I am second year student at Department of Industrial Engineering at Hacettepe University. Currently I have completed my 3th semester at department because I completed preparation class in half term. Also I have danced for two years at Trio Dance Academy and I am an assistant dance instructor. Now I wish to spend time supporting your project. I decided to participate in an EVS Programme because I am sure that is a good opportunity to gain a load of information and experience. I’d have a different vision on many things and this will help me in future situations and decisions. I am eager to improve myself in every possible way everyday. I worked as a waitress in a cafe last summer. I have had really good relationships with my boss, co-workers and customers. I can easily adopt to any work enviroment and working as a part of a group. I can also function individually by taking the initiative and the responsibility to accomplish my tasks best. Otherwise I have always been a curious person about other peoples stories and ways to live. This way I have communicated and known many different people at work. I have met and worked projects in lessons with exchange students in university. I had been possible for the recognition of foreign friends. I have gained all those communication and social skills that are necessary to work with young people from all the world. I enjoy reading books about psychology, singing, travelling, hiking in nature and swimming in my free time. Additionally I have to say that dancing is my passion. I am sure my skills will be of value to the project objectives. My enthusiasm, my flexibility, my dynamism and my skill to be open-minded, my honesty, my diligence, my ability of learning easily, my ability of listening with interest the other and to be a welcoming person, my ability to empathy, my kindness to people and nature, my helpfulness to living things need me, my desire to turn the world into a better place, my familiarity to physical activities, my ability of adapting myself in a new country. I have always loved working in various environments and with different cultures because I am aware of the richness to know several points of view, customs, traditions, religions, politic ideas. Especially Romania has a dynamic history and culture was influenced with many different things, also many architectural treasures were builded with different architectural currents. I would love to know Romanian people and culture and see your castles, cities and streets and also green parks and natural beauties. I am really motivated to provide youth with all the information they need to improve their own status because I really believe in the importance of the intercultural exchange, in the true and constructive dialogue between different countries. I want improve my interpersonal communication skill and meet new culture. So that I think it is important to use all the communication channels and tools we hold to reach young people and to make them understand the utility of EU Programmes and of other opportunities that aim to increase the intercultural dialogue and the local development. For all these reasons I really wish to offer my support in this field and my personal human resources in your organisation and country. I will be available for an interview at your convenience. I would like to thank you for your interest in advance and look forward to receiving your reply. Yours Sincerely Sevval Didar Yildiz
