"Everybody Hates Chris"

Easily the best new show this season (okay, okay, there was hardly any competition).
But even after the first few episodes, when other shows are already running out of steam ("My Name is Earl" anyone?), EHC only gets better as they get deeper into the characters.
And I figured out why I like this show so much it's really a sitcom version of "A Christmas Story" and as such it cuts across all lines.

On another but related topic McKee says not to use voiceovers. I'm not sure how many of the shows on the air ths season actually use them (my wife practically forces me to watch "Desperate Housewives" and I'll watch "Arrested Development" if it's convenient), but I'm sure we'll be seeing more and more voiceovers no matter what McKee thinks.

Last night was the best episode so far. It was painful but excellent. I liked how the little girl was as stubborn as the mom.

Thing is, when McKee or another screenwriting guru says "Don't use voiceovers or flashbacks", what he really means is "You'll probably ***** it up".

I only caught 3 Earls and they were repeats - - my TIVO can only record one show at a time and I'd rather see Geena Davis wax Presidential than Jason Lee wa
