hi everybody. dictionaries say that means "sometimes, but not frequently". ok, but why "often" if that's not on a regular basis? i think i can't say that i play tennis every so often if a play tennis once a week, so it's not "often", if you know what i mean. is there a contradiction or am i missing something?

i think "people whose opinion matters" (quite a subjective matter) really don't care about that. i think if hemingway or chesterton were alive reading my post (although their writing follows these rules) they would care less about that than you do.
sorry, i'll keep posting here and i am sure people will continue to help me. i don't think this forum is that boring, square thing that you're suggesting. i'm not interested in english for business, i felt in love with it and i'm here to discover it's secrets, not to be told that i'm uneducated or that my writing is childish, which is the only reason why i answered that way.
