Every child is a good seed.

Recently I saw a slogan of a kindergarten to the effect that every child is a good seed. Are there similar expressions in English?

Do you mean "good seed" as being innocent? Or is it rather that every child has great potential?

My friends and I think it means every kid can be trained to be a good person, talent, etc.

I like the original 'good seed' quote very much. I will use it myself. I have not heard of an expression similar to your meaning.

It's not an expression that I have ever seen.

One expresion that I can remember is.

There is good in everyone. - However this means that noone is totally bad so not quite the meaning.

Another one used by the Jesuists, who run Catholic schools all over the world, is:

Give us the child and we will give you the man.
