ever vs never in questions

i've got a question to ask. there's an exerecise where you have to tick the correct answer (only one answer is correct).
1. Do you never go to the cinema?
2. Do you ever go to the cinema?

In my humble opinion both items are possible, isn't that right? If the first one is incorrect, could anyone , please explain why. Thanks in advance.

1. Do you never go to the cinema? We never ask the question this way. It is asking about negative behavior. The answer can be "I never go to the cinema." but then the question would be "Do you ever go to the cinema?" or "How often do you go to the cinema?"

thank you for your answer.

let me rephrase what i wanted to ask. I hope the question "Don't you ever go to the cinema?" is still correct. I mean.. can't you stumble across "do you never go to the cinema" in everyday conversations? like.. expressing a state of being shocked and not believing what you're hearing? because what i'm driving at is that everything seems in its place in this sent

Julia Bay"Don't you ever go to the cinema?" is still correct.
Yes, that is correct. It is a question in the mood of surprise or shock..

eg.
A: I went to see the latest Spiderman movie. It was great.
B: I've never seen a Spiderman movie.
A: Really! Don't you ever go to the cinema?
B: No. I don't.

In my variety of BrE, 'do you never ...?' is far less common than 'don't you ever ...?', but it is possible.
