Ever since I met you, I cannot forget you

Ever since I met you, I cannot forget you.

Q1: Is the above example correct? Or do I have to write it as:

Ever since I met you, I haven't been able to forget you.

Few more examples:

Ever since I lost you I feel lost all the time.

Ever since I met you, now, I know that you're special.
