Ever / never

Please I would like to know the differences between the answers to the following questions and when to use them. Emphasis on EVER / NEVER

For example: 1. Have you been to England?

Answer: No, I have not been to England.

2. Have you ever been to England?

Answer: No, I have never been to England. OR No, I have not been to England. Please which is correct and why?

In reality people would often simply say "No", but, putting that aside, "No, I have never been to England" echoes the "ever" of the question, so is more fitting. However, the other answer is not actually w
