Ever lived/ that ever lived/ that has ever lived

Hi. What is the difference? I am sure the following are just someone's opinion.

1. He is the best heavyweight ever lived.
2. He is the best heavyweight that ever lived.
3. He is the best heavyweight that has ever lived.

Top answer

Yes, just 3 ways of saying it. #1 may be trying to refer to the past only, but it fails to do so: we presume that 'has ever' is elided because there will be more heavyweights in the future.
