Ever and once

I earlier posted She ever said she didn't like dancing, but nowadays she is learning dancing. I am told it is wrong to use ever. So what is the right word to use. once is ok, I think.

She once said she didn't like dancing, but nowadays she is learning dancing.

Or any better word or words.

Thanks in advance,

Hi Lission I've answered your other question here . If you changed your sentence to a question, then the word "ever" would basically mean "at least once, at any time in the past": - Did she ever say she didn't like dancing? Technically, this question does not ask whether she said it exactly one time; instead it asks whether she said it at least one time.

Hi Yankee

I posed the question earlier. Then, I saw your reply to my other post.

I posted more than once because I note that sometimes a poster asked again, but no one replied. The one who first answered just did not reply and no one else replied.

Anyway, sorry for the problem created.

Thanks for your help.
