"Too much to start" seems fits in the pattern: too + adv/adj + to + v

What the pattern means is just the opposite of an action or a state, such as too hot to drink ----> does not drink, too good to be true -----> not true, too ill to travel -----> does not travel, too young to get married -----> does not get married.
Ever - a word meaning at any time; used mostly in questions, negatives, comparisons, or sentences with 'if'. e.g. Nothing ever seems to upset him. (Source: Longman)

Since the line "I love you too much to start liking you" has a negative meaning (i.e. since I love you so much, I don't want to see anyone getting hurt. In order NOT to start liking you. Let's end our relationship), therefore the adverb EVER is added in and make the line become "I love you too much to EVER start liking you."
