I want to say something like this:

Other aspects were probably the cause of his difficulties.

Can i say:

Eventually other aspects were the cause of his difficulties.

No. That makes no sense. You can say:

Eventually, he will realize that other aspects were the cause of his difficulties.

Sorry, I thought they had similar meanings and didn’t check the dictionary.

But it is difficult to understand the difference. Please tell me if my idea of these 2 words is correct now:

1) Other aspects were probably the cause of his difficulties.
Means that there is a possibility that his difficulties were caused by other aspects.

I don't know about Portuguese, but I do know that in some European languages a word that looks like 'eventually' means something like 'probably'. It's a false friend.
