Eventually

Hello,

Eventually, I told her how I felt.

He eventually reveals to her the secret he's been hiding.

Can 'eventually' (or finally, ultimately, etc.) be used in beginning as well as in the middle of the sentence, as we see fit?

Thanks.

AJK
