Even though/if

Even though I have enough money to buy an expensive car, i don't have anywhere to park it.
Even if I had enough money to buy an expensive car, i don't have anywhere to park it.

Does the first sentense sound as right as the second one? Thanks.

I think that the second sentence is gramatically incorrect. It should read: Even if I had enough money to buy an expensive car, I would not have any space to park it.

Thanks, Jain.

But could you tell why "I don't have anywhere to part it" is wrong?

That's because you are starting your sentence in past tense.

If you think it's a past tense, I'd advise you to read it one more time.

It isn't really a past tense per se; rather it is the usual form for an if-clause in a level two conditional sentence.

Thanks, Philip, for your concern of this thread.

The word if has a slightly different grammatical pattern than the word though.
Those shown below are not the only possibilities, but they are typical.

Even though I have ..., I don't ...
Even though I had ..., I didn't ...

Even if I have ..., I won't ...
Even if I had ..., I wouldn't ...

And even if they were comprehensive enough, they would not necessarily be the only possibilities! Emotion: smile
