Hi, bellow is a sentence I am having troubles grasping. It is marked in bold. Any help appreciated.
The solitude of writing is not the same as loneliness or isolation. When the words are flowing the self disappears and your anxieties, doubts and reservations are suspended. There isn't a self to be lonely.
Thanks

If something disappears, it doesn't exist any more. The text says that "the self disappears", so the self doesn't exist any more. This can be said differently: "There isn't a self any more" or simply "There isn't a self". Something that doesn't exist can't be lonely. The words to be lonely are like that can be lonely.
