Even a funeral was no less than a party time for her.

Hi

Is this sentence natural enough?

(Talking of someone who was very outgoing and extremely fond of socializing)

Even a funeral was no less than a party time for her--a perfect get-together.

Thanks,

Tom

The "no less than" stopped me in my tracks. It comes into focus if you look at it long enough, but that is not a good thing. And anyway, "even" has already taken care of that.

  • "A party time" doesn't work because there exists only one party time at a time.
  • "Get-together" is good.
