Eve!! is she a symbole of females in English?

Hi,
My question is about using the word 'Eve' to refer to females in English! this is the case in my language and culture. I need to know if this is the same thing in the English language and the western culture in general!
I hope my question was clear. Can you say 'Eve' to refer and mean all women and females in the English language and culture??
Thanks

Hi, No. I suppose you could use the term if in some way if you were writing in some very fancy and figurative manner. BUt you'd have to make sure your meaning was clear.

No. The only common "symbolic" use of "Eve" that I can think of is the anti-gay slogan "*** created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve."
(Personally, I find this slogan very offensive. I believe that *** created Steve as well!)

Hi,
Thanks a lot for answering me.
My point is to know if making a website address like "eveplace.com" or "evesite.com"
a tittle like this will it mean the place of all women? is it attractive for women?
thanks

Oh. Context always helps us give better answers. Evesplace.com would be a reasonable name for a website for women. (It should really be "Eve's place," but I don't suppose you can have an apostrophe in a web address.)
