hi guys... not sure which is correct:

1)...the following was perfromed using a frequency EVALUATIVE software tool
2)...the following was perfromed using a frequency EVALUATION software tool

...i would say 1...

No #2 for sure. I have read a lot of scientific articles, so I do know it.

And Clive is a native, so he alone can issue verdicts.

EDIT:

And from the scientific viewpoint, you may want to replace the word "evaluation" for it implies less fidelity than "measuring", for example.
