Evaluate my cover letter

Dear....
I wish to pursue PhD at university of ..... under your esteemed
guidance. I have just graduated from the department of Communication &
Computer Engineering at the LNM Institute of Information Technology,
Jaipur, India. Currently I am working as a Teaching Assistant assisting for the
Course of Computer Vision and Pattern recognition.

During my graduation, I got highly interested in the field of Data Structures , Algorithms and Artificial intelligence. I was mainly fascinated by the theoretical aspects of these subjects and the beautiful mathematical proofs which consequently aroused my interests in courses like discrete math , Graph theory , Probability theory and Linear Algebra . My inclination towards the Theoretical Computer Science was further deepened when I attended lectures on topics like Game Theory , Parameterized complexity and Randomized Algorithms at Institute of Mathematical Sciences , Chennai . Game theory seemed quite intuitive and seemed applicable where multiple agents have their own selfish interest . Parameterized complexity was an equally interesting field where the hard problems where found to be tractable for a given fixed parameter . Finally the area of Randomized algorithms seemed elegant because of their simplicity . Though the Randomized algorithms have probabilistic bound on its correct outcome for one of its type , their applicability was clearly visible because of their simpler implementations . I also took the problem of acyclic edge coloring under Prof C R Subramanian and evaluated its outcome for different number of test cases and compared the results of theoretical and experimental bound . Similarly I have had the opportunity to get acquainted with the algorithms of Principal Component analysis and Locally linear embedding under Prof Arun K Pujari at Artificial Intelligence lab at University of Hyderabad .

My past is embellished with decent academic achievements and I am determined to achieve more in the future. I had been consistently good at the courses offered in Computer Science at my university. I did my final year Project under the guidance of Prof. S K Gupta and Prof. A K Pujari on the graph theoretic problem of Minimum energy topology and Strong Connectivity . I scored the highest possible grades in courses like Artificial Intelligence and Combinatorial Optimization which very much overlaps with my area of Interests . I gave a talk on topic of Binomial Heap : Advanced Data Structure under my course of Data Structures and Algorithms.

I am highly self motivated and interested in pursuing research career through a sound graduate program as yours. With my hard work, dedication and focus, I am confident that I will live up to the expectation, and bring laurels to your esteemed institute.
